2010 Holiday Decor WINNERS!

We here at Seaport Village had a friendly decoration competition going on for the holidays. And to sweeten the pot, we decided to give the stores prizes!

There were 3 categories in which they were competing: Best Overall- Prize, fancy schmancy bow & tickets to Jungle Bells at the SD Zoo Most San Diegan- Prize, fancy schmancy bow Most Creative- Prize, fancy schmancy bow

Judges went around last night and after much deliberation the winners were chosen. So, without further ado… The winners of the 2010 Seaport Village Holiday Decor Contest are…

BEST OVERALL- Destination Travel & their snow-y winter wonderland! It doesn't snow in San Diego but it does at Destination Travel!

My favorite part was the sign over the door that read, "May joy be your destination." Say it with me... awwww!

Looks even more awesome at night with all the white twinkly lights reflecting off the snowflakes. You really need to come down and see it for yourself. Shops open until 9 pm every night!

MOST SAN DIEGAN- Swings n' Things Between the Surfin' Santa banner, tiki stockings hanging & surfboard signage they were a shoe-in! Awesome job Swings n' Things.

MOST CREATIVE- Captain Hunt Tobacconist It truly is a tobacconist wonderland! You can tell they put so much time and effort into their decorations. And let me tell you, it did not go unnoticed! Creative and festive you guys, kudos.

As I said, much deliberation took place. A few other stores to check out, or “honorable mentions” are:

Urban Girl Accessories. Their eco friendly gnome ornaments are worth checking out. Pictures can be found here.

Candy Shack & Yogurt. Santa will definitely be stopping thier with their snowmen, train & "Santa Stops Here" sign. Very festive!

Silver Crossing. Their bright green decorations, Santa/reindeer display & toy soldiers were nicely done! Definitely worth stopping by to check out.

I hope that you will come down to Seaport Village to see all the time and effort the stores put into their decorations… because there are a lot more than listed above! And tell me, which store is your favorite?
