Surfin' Santa Arrival

Surfin’ Santa will ditch his red suit and reindeer to spread his holiday cheer in true Southern California fashion as he makes his annual arrival in San Diego on November 24. Sailing into downtown’s Seaport Village by yacht and sporting his favorite board shorts and flip-flops, he’ll take a break from his holiday duties to enjoy the San Diego sunshine with locals and visitors from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
“We’re delighted to welcome back our famous Surfin’ Santa at Seaport Village and are honored to be one of the only destinations in the Nation to offer such a unique experience during the holidays,” says General Manager of Seaport Village, Terry Hall. “We welcome families who travel from near and far to explore our more than 50 shops and capture the spirit of the holidays in warm-weather style.”
While getting a jumpstart on their holiday shopping, San Diegans can support Small Business Saturday at Seaport Village. Sponsored by American Express, Small Business Saturday celebrates the Shop Small movement to drive shoppers to local merchants across the U.S.
Surfin’ Santa’s arrival celebration will include:
- Surfin’ Santa at Seaport Village
Kids and adults will greet San Diego’s board short-wearing Santa for a lively parade down the boardwalk after he arrives at 1 p.m. aboard the Corinthian, courtesy of the San Diego Yacht Club. Santa will be available for photos on his surfboard all afternoon, leaving time to enjoy the kids craft tables, strolling entertainers and delectable dining into the evening.

- Get a scoop of ice cream for a $1!
Stop by Ben & Jerry’s in Seaport Village to make a difference in the life of a child this holiday season. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation will be collecting toys for children in the community from November 24 through December 16. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Ben & Jerry’s location and receive a scoop ice cream for just $1.00.
- Holiday shopping at more than 50 unique shops and eateries
Shoppers are guaranteed to find nearly everything on their lists for the holidays this year at Seaport Village, from personalized candles to flavored olive oils, Toms shoes and much more, there’s a little something for everyone at the village shops – even a whole store dedicated to Christmas décor.
Parking
Enjoy 2 hours of validated parking for $1 in the Seaport Village lot with any purchase and only $4 an hour thereafter.
Free Shuttle Service
A complimentary shuttle will be provided from the 5 Star Parking lot located on Pacific Highway across from Office Depot. Parking is $13 for the day and shuttles will run every 15 minutes from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stop will be marked with umbrella and signage.
Seaport Village is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Stores will observe special holiday hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas day and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
