First-Ever Halloween Bash at Seaport Village This Fall
Locals Appreciation Week precedes celebration with events and great deals
As summer fades away, Seaport Village will welcome fall and San Diego locals with its first-ever Halloween bash on Saturday October 29 from 3:30 to 9 p.m. A week of deals and events leading up to the Halloween celebration will show gratitude to locals from October 22-29.
The inaugural Halloween celebration invites all the little monsters, vampires, pirates and zombies out to the village for a pet costume contest, live music, photos with a living scarecrow and more than enough treats to go around. Entertainment will abound from 3:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. and trick-or-treating will continue until 9 p.m.
Edgewater Grill will also have a Stone Brewing Co. tap tower takeover. All six of their taps will be different beer from Stone served in a Stone pint glass which you can take home with you! Spooky dinner and drinks, anyone?!
The first-ever Locals Appreciation Week will precede the Halloween celebration with outstanding deals from more than 20 of Seaport Village’s shops and restaurants to say “thank you” to San Diegans and welcome them back after the busy tourist season. Deals and events leading up to the Halloween Bash on the Bay include something for everyone:
o The Many Hats of Greece Contest – All are eligible to partake by competing with the best Greek-inspired hat to win dinner for two at Greek Islands Café, $50 to the Village Hat Shop and $50 to Seaport Village – Oct. 22, 2011 from 2-4 p.m.
o Enjoy free refreshments at the Captain Hunt Tobacconist’s Cigar & Pipe Event Oct. 26 from 5 p.m. until close.
o Yappy Hour – Pet Hideaway and Edgewater Grill are partnering for a fido-friendly happy hour at Edgewater Grill on October 28 from 3-6 p.m. There will be food and drink specials and every four-legged guest will leave with a pet-friendly gift bag.

All deals will be listed at http://www.facebook.com/SeaportVillage on October 22. Locals must show valid California ID or SDG&E bill to redeem the discounts and gifts.
“We are so very grateful for all the locals who visit us year-round and share Seaport Village with their guests,” said Terry Hall, Seaport Village General Manager. “The least we can do is take a week to thank them with great deals and fun events leading up to Halloween. Seaport Village is an ideal setting for trick-or-treating because of it‘s many shops in such a close vicinity. It’s closed off to vehicles so it’s going to be one of the safest options for kids and I guarantee the festivities will not disappoint!”
Come early and catch the sunset while enjoying dinner at one of the 14 restaurants/eateries and stay late to trick-or-treat throughout the entire village. More than 50 shops will be giving out sweet treats, so bring your biggest candy sack.
Side note:
While this is the first ever "Halloween Bash on the Bay" it is not the first Halloween Pet Costume Contest. Check out the cuteness from last year! If you would like to enter your pet into this year's Pet Costume Contest contact Pet Hideaway directly, 619-338-0656.
