Our 2011 Spring Busker Festival is THIS WEEKEND! The excitement is building here in the Village, I can feel it.

Not only will there be great performers but there will be giveaways from the stores and restaurants in between each busker performance. Keep an eye out for our event emcee, he will be giving away the prizes! We are talking gift certificates people. Not only do we want you to enjoy the performances but we want you to shop and eat too because *hello* that is what we are good at here!

Another way that we are rewarding you for coming out is through our really great Foursquare deal!

You may not be able to juggle or contort your body into an unusually small box, but you can, with the click of a finger, redeem a special prize by checking into Seaport Village on Foursquare during the Busker Festival, April 16th & 17th.

Remember to download the Foursquare app to your smart phone before Busker Festival weekend. When you check in during the festival, the first 50 people to check in will get a $10 Seaport Village gift certificate (valid at all shops & restaurants).

For those of you who are not familiar with Foursquare... fear not! I have a step by step guide on how to redeem our special.

After you have dowloaded Foursquare to your smart phone...

1. Click on "Places" (next to "Friends")

2. Scroll through nearby places for "Seaport Village". If you can't find it in the scroll bar, do a search for Seaport Village and it shold come up.

3. Click "Seaport Village"

4. Click "Check in here"

5. The next screen will show how many times you've checked in to Seaport Village, your Leaderboard, and below that, the orange bar shows "Specials". Click on the Specials.

6. The next screen will say "Congrats! You have unlocked this special."

7. Go to Del Sol at Seaport Village and show them your phone to redeem the special (screen must show that you've unlocked the special)
